《警察遇到兵》这部戏主要分为三个单元，整个剧情不仅有着案件悬疑的精彩剧情，同时也有很多让人觉得温情感人的部分，孙逊饰演的“罗三拐”和秦海璐饰演的“罗妻”，两人都是非常善良并且极具同情心的人物，两人养育的四个孩子中，有两个孩子并非是自己亲身的，令原本就不富裕的两人负担变的更重，但是两人都没有放弃， “罗三拐”（孙逊饰）为此也更加努力，并且将自己也改造成为新中国合格的人民警察。
