本剧讲述的是在风光雄奇瑰丽的西域，飞驼商队号称是国中之国的庞大商队，共有五堂十二旗数万强悍的人马。他们往来贸易于中原和西域各国之间，没有哪些盗贼敢于觊觎他们的财富。但是这一天，商队的飞彪旗从中原进入西域之后，却突然在沙漠中消失得无影无踪。西域各路豪强互相攻击，互相制约，互相利用，在壮阔的西域舞台上，演出了一幕幕爱恨交织、云诡波谲、尔虞我诈、你死我活的精彩而悲壮的戏剧。
