故事舞台设定在有严格等级制度，学生分为学生会长，学生会成员和亲卫队选民，以及平民三个等级的岚之丘学园，神秘转校生清水小百合却破坏了规矩，她不服从学生会，我行我素，与学生会发生冲突。

導演王小棣首部開拍作品「荼蘼」，找來楊丞琳擔任女主角，該劇是編劇徐譽庭最新作品，導演則是由王小棣親自上陣。這回首次合作，楊丞琳超興奮，想好好過足戲癮。
