以“微笑影楼”和“体育中心”为背景的二个相邻家庭之间日常琐事的情景喜剧。又名《辣白菜，沙拉，笑》，是续《无法阻挡》之后播出的短片搞笑剧。这部戏讲述的是一个像辣白菜一样很普通又很保守传统的家庭（申九的家庭）和另外一个像沙拉一样非常有钱而且很开放的家庭（善宇恩淑的家庭）之间成为亲戚之后发生的搞笑故事。
陈真带着他的妹妹小燕来到日本占领的上海，他干过很多份工作，同时也和当地最大黑帮青帮老大蔡六金的儿子蔡学富不断发生冲突，从而结下不解之怨。在上海，陈真注意到当地的武术界四分五裂，各立门派，就好象一盘散沙。与此同时，他的妹妹跟一位日本护士交上了朋友，这位日本护士名叫武田由美，是日本租界首脑武田幸雄的独生女儿。陈真一直在拉黄包车，同时也从一些书籍上继续学习武术。一次，他碰巧救了蔡六金的红颜知己，上海的红歌女绮翘。从而加入青帮，随后因出众的身手被蔡六金所赏识，成为青帮的头号打手。小燕一直很不喜欢她哥哥涉足黑道。而一系列激烈的冲突随即发生，小燕惨遭马贼的杀害，而陈真在极度的悲愤中幡然醒悟，在传奇的精武门创始人霍元甲师父的指点帮助下，陈真手刃马贼，为全家报仇之后，毅然退出青帮，加入了霍元甲的精武门。
理由是那么的冠冕堂皇。
