高校录取通知书截止日的2019年8月10日这最后一天，“极速”公司快递员易展言（迟志强饰）赶到公司上班，却发现老板携款跑路公司倒闭了，半年的工资也没了下文。公司的员工们将公司就地分了家，将办公用品纷纷占为己有，算是对拖欠工资补偿的安慰金。同样是受害者的易展言则是向员工们索要他们未能及时发放出去的高校录取通知书。代表倒闭“极速”公司快递员易展言开始了他最后一次的快递派送，送出的几天后或者几秒后他也将永久的告别光明，彻底失明。易展言送出的每一份高校录取通知书，牵引出每一个领取高校录取通知书的人物，并引领出每一个人物冲刺高考的高人奇事。而展开高人奇事的时间却是高考前夕，6月6日的这一天。无论是考上清华的伍二一（吕晨饰），北大的杨过（吕江饰）、柳絮（宋泽坤饰），复旦的林多宝（宋明远饰），神州老年大学的孙达盛（孙德元饰），还是落榜的复读生雷震梓（段杰瀚饰），放弃高考的唐湘（白醋少女饰），以及突患急迫性尿失禁的沙晨鲍（金博饰）等等。他们都将与易展言相连相交，他们身体力行，为苦难撑起一片光明隽永的天空。
