《疑惑》改编自松本清张的人气悬疑小说，2019年版加入了新的诠释，把原著中男律师换成女性，用新的视角来展示女性之间令人战栗的关系。米仓凉子在剧中饰演律师佐原卓子，虽然有能力却被揶揄是“最糟糕的律师”，接受委托负责黑木华饰演的白河球磨子的案件，球磨子与丈夫白河福太郎驾车外出遇上大雨，车坠入海港只有球磨子生还，而有证据指出事故与她有关。
