立的同乡井（林保怡）由内地来港投靠立，更誓神劈愿说失窃的钻石是由一隐形人所偷去。井找来女警岚（陈妙瑛）帮忙，立恐岚受骗，遂一同展开追查。不久，立遭对头杂志的编辑图（陈启泰）设计陷害，被控告捏造假新闻。此时，立意外喝掉隐形药水，变了隐形人，遂趁机四出找寻证据为自己平反。期间，立遇上图的女友记者颖（陈芷菁）。颖因意外暂时失明，所以未有察觉立的变异。二人相处下来亦成为好友。立向颖暗示图乃阴险小人，奈何颖对图深信不疑，立无端枉作小人。后颖无意中撞破图的恶行，决与图分手，立见颖伤心失落，便加以安慰，二人感情更进一步。图与立此时已成水火之势，为要除去眼中钉，图更展开一场大报复……
